MATERIALS 

● Super Bulky/Size 6 Yarn- Bernat Softee Chunky (100% Acrylic, 108 yds / 99m, 3.5 oz / 100 grams) Color A (Glowing Gold), Color B (Wine), Color C (Pumpkin)  About half of a skein is used of each

● Hook US L / 8.00 mm

● Yarn Needle

GAUGE 

  •  4 hdc stitches = 2”, 4 rows = 2” (Gauge is not crucial)
  • Finished size (before seaming) approximately 29 inches long and 6 ½ inches wide.

PATTERN KEY 

  • ch: chain, st(s): stitch(es), sc: single crochet, hdc: half double crochet

  • Beginner

NOTES 

  • This pattern is worked in rows. The pattern makes a rectangle, and then seam to form the cowl. 
  • Chain does not count as a stitch.

Instructions

(Color A)

Ch 62.

Row 1: Hdc in 3rd chain from hook. Hdc across. -60 hdc

Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Hdc in same st and in each st across. Fasten off. – 60 hdc

(Color B)

Row 3: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Sc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 sc

(Color A)

Row 4: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Hdc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 hdc

(Color C)

Row 5: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Sc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 sc

(Color A)

Row 6: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Hdc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 hdc

(Color C)

Row 7: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Sc in same st, and in every st across.Fasten off. -60 sc

(Color A)

Row 8: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Hdc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 hdc

Row 9: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Sc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 sc

Row 12: Attach new color, ch 1, turn. Hdc in same st, and in every st across. -60 hdc

Row 13: Ch 1, turn. Hdc in same st, and in every st across. Fasten off. -60 hdc

Finishing: Using a yarn needle, whip stitch the ends of the cowl together to form a seam. Weave in ends.
