Fringe
A total of 62 fringe bundles will be needed.
Each end of the Woodland Scarf will have 31 fringe bundles. Each bundle will include 2 pieces of yarn, needing a total of 124 pieces of cut yarn.
To create the fringe pieces:
-Loosely wrap yarn around a 6-inch-long piece of cardboard (trying not to overlap pieces).
-Cut one end across with sharp scissors. Each wrap will be one 12” piece of yarn after cutting.
To attach the fringe:
-Hold 2 pieces of the cut yarn together, and fold them in half evenly.
-Insert hook into the stitch you would like to place the fringe bundle. (Place a fringe bundle in bottom of each st from beginning ch and into top of each hdc stitch of Row 148.)
-Pull the middle of the folded fringe through the st.
-Use the hook to grab the yarn ends and pull through the middle of the loop from the folded area of the fringe.
-Pull tightly.
-Repeat until all fringe bundles are attached.
-Trim ends to make even.
